The Corona
After taking in the last of the setting sun's rays from his vantage point on the cliff top, Corona closed his eyes and relaxed. He felt the warmth from the now subsumed sun dissipating around him. Turning on the spot, he stopped when he knew the town to be laid out before him. A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips.
He opened his eyes, his irises flaring gold. Suddenly the town was awash with intense light. All shadows peeled back, all pools of darkness blasted away. A lone silver figure near the centre of town turned to face Corona. He shone brilliantly with reflected white light.
Corona's smile grew.
